When Miriam Fan started working as a real estate agent in Mt Albert in 1998 she had already make many useful contacts. After arriving in New Zealand from Taiwan, where she worked as a pharmacist, in 1989, she enjoyed running a motel for nine years. As she is a naturally friendly, caring person she took the pleasure in helping out many new immigrants, especially Chinese and Korean people who had scant knowledge of local resources and systems. Relationships formed during this time put her in good stead as she started out in her new role.

Miriam & Sam have lived locally for over two decades where they have brought up their two daughters.
