Realising a career in Real Estate has brought together two of the things that Mark loves - buildings and people.

Born and bred in the Bay of Plenty as a country boy, Mark eventually moved to Auckland and then on to the UK where he obtained a first class honors degree in Architecture. Mark then ended up working in the IT industry which included being instrumental in the growth of a digital design agency startup.

For the 4 years before relocating back to New Zealand Mark worked with a wide range of clients - many of them from the real estate and property industry - to assess how their business needs could be met through the use of technology. Mark worked closely with his clients and the team to ensure that the projects were delivered successfully.

A testament to Mark's skill is the extent of repeat and referred business the company now enjoys. This was achieved through honesty and integrity when dealing with clients which in turn instilled an enduring trust in Mark and the team he was part of.

While in the UK, Mark designed and project managed his own property renovations, some of which included major structural work. With his extensive architectural training and hands-on experience, Mark has an appreciation of design which comes in handy for spotting the potential of a property and also in advising on preparing the presentation of a property for sale.

Having arrived back in New Zealand Mark started looking for a family home which saw him gaining knowledge of different areas around central Auckland and meeting many other salespeople along the way. This experience reignited his love affair with the residential housing that first prompted his interest in architecture - and the rest, as they say, is history.

On the lookout for a new challenge, Mark took the opportunity to re-train and being a team player, is pleased to have the opportunity join the experienced team at Anne Duncan Real Estate.

Mark now lives locally in Mt. Albert where along with his wife, Sarah, is enjoying raising their two boys and being involved in the local community and school.
