Anne Duncan has a wealth of local knowledge and experience having lived in the area for most of her adult life.

Girls run in the family, with Kate, Emma and Helen all attending Ferndale Kindergarten, Marist Primary then Marist College before going on to University. Granddaughter Kayla has been joined by Darragh and Liam, sons of Helen and Owen.

Anne is passionate about Mt Albert and is committed to the community, supporting local schools, clubs and sports clubs. After 11 years of successfully selling local real estate, and managing a Mt Albert Real Estate Franchise, Anne was ready for the challenge of opening her own office, and with husband Ross, set about establishing Anne Duncan Real Estate in August 2004. Michael came to New Zealand in 2002 from Shanghai, China and has lived in Mt Albert and the surrounding areas ever since. He met his wife (whom he knew from his secondary school days) in New Zealand and they now have 2 boys who attend Hebron Christian College. The family love living in Mt Albert.

Having run his own successful business with his wife for the past 11 years Michael has great customer service skills. He’s a patient, positive person, and is always ready to help. He also has a knowledge of NZ buildings and architecture and holds a Certificate of Carpentry from UNITEC.

Des Ryder, head of Anne Duncan Team Advantage rental section, is one of
the most experienced and dedicated property managers in Auckland. He
holds a property degree and has worked in the area and property
management industry for the last 25 years.

The length of time he has worked in the industry and the skills he has
accumulated have seen Des gain Associate status with the Real Estate
Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) and licensed as an Agent under the
REAA (2008). In order to maintain this status, he updates his qualification
every year. This ensures his clients gain the benefit of his knowledge on
every aspect of property management including the latest legislation.

But property management isn’t just a career for Des, he also owns
investment properties managed under Anne Duncan Rentals. He believes,
if you’re hiring someone to manage your properties, you need someone
who understands the task from the inside out. “At Anne Duncan Rentals we
pride ourselves on good tenant selection and take the time to do stringent
checks on each canditate. It is as important for us to keep owner’s rent
coming in as it is to keep tenant’s out of debt. That’s why our court record

Laileen has been working in the Property Industry for over 15 years, with knowledge in several facets, including Administration, Letting Agent, Sales Agent and then found her niche as a property manager in 2008, enjoying the daily challenges and building solid relationships. Having managed large apartment portfolios, this has given Laileen a good insight as to the variables this type of portfolio demands and has the experience to look after your property and tenants with transparency and confidence.

The property industry is in her blood with both parents having been invested and experiences in the industry. This gave Laileen a passion for the industry from an early age and can appreciate what it is like to be a property owner and tenant.

She has gone on to achieve success and winning the Bronze Award twice for Property Manager of the Year and completed her studies at Massey University to obtain her AREINZ status.

Shane brings a fresh approach and experience in management to the team at Anne Duncan.

Shane’s role as Property Manager means he can work in the industry that he has a passion for – meeting new clients and ensuring existing clients are satisfied and confident with his knowledge and expertise.

From being a landlord since the age of 20, he clearly understands what expectations are required, as a client puts their valuable asset in the trust of a property manager. Living overseas, Shane as a tenant has seen how important communication is between tenant and landlord, and how vital it is to maintaining a successful working relationship.

But undoubtedly Shane’s strengths lie with people. Listening, understanding and responding to achieve the desired result is what Shane calls ‘job satisfaction’. Professionalism establishes respect between two different clients/parties and being non intrusive in their lives is the key.

Shane has Diplomas in Management and Graphic Design. After hours you can find Shane spending time coaching junior football and designing graphics, whilst enjoying the pleasures of bringing up a young family.
